During the beginning if the expansion of the universe; as space was greatly compressed around the black hole, it began to decompress as the black hole exploded. The size, the boundaries, of the universe increased as the expansion took place. The present day expansion is a result of the fact that the compressed points of space are still decompressing from the original compression at the time of the primordial black hole. When a photon travels from a high gravitational field to a low one the wavelength shifts to the blue end of the spectrum as the space/energy ratio decreases. When the universe expands, the wavelength (because space expands,) even though it is traveling in a lower gravitational field, expands with the expansion of space. When the space/energy ratio decreases the wavelength decreases, when space expands as the wavelength is traveling in the space, the wavelength has expanded, or redshifted, with the expansion of space. The farther away a light source is, the more space expansion the light has traveled through, the greater the redshift. The value of space decreases but the value of the energy decreases because the area of space being stretched by the energy increases so the space/energy ratio stays the same. The expansion of space causes the redshift. The energy stays the same, the amount of space it stretches stays the same, so the space/energy ratio stays the same and the wavelength expands with the expansion of space to create a redshift in the wavelength. The farther away a light source is, the more space expansion the light from the source has experienced causing a greater redshift. The speed of light would be measured different from a low gravitational field to a high one when measured using physical distance. This involves frequency. The frequency changes as a wavelength travels from one gravitational field to another along with the change in the wavelength. When space expands the wavelength expands with it, the frequency of the wavelength decreases, and the wavelength is redshifted. The gravitational redshift is a result of the gravity around a body. The universal expansion redshift is a result of the expansion of the universe.
