The Art of Making Yourself Invisible Paragraphs 47, 48, 49

Updated: Apr 7, 2023

I read in my Cultural Geography book, “The whole tribe raises the kid.”1 You have to be able to take care of yourself before you can take care of others. We are on the journey of love from innocence to consciousness. Sell the banana farms back to the banana farmers. South America banana farmers work for pennies a day and the American corporations are making all the money from the banana farms. The American corporations own the banana farms in South America. The South America banana farmers could own the banana farms and make their money farming. My Cultural Geography teacher Dr. Clark said, “One tech solution causes two tech problems.”2 One technology solution causes two technology problems. He also said, “Some homeless people choose to be homeless.”3

A second last forever sideways.

You can prove repressed memories exist with the scientific method. My Psychology teacher Dr. Levin said, “Repressed memories don’t happen.”4 Some people think repressed memories don’t exist. The scientific method says you have to prove repressed memories don’t exist to say they don’t exist. Repressed memories could exist. According to the scientific method you must make a hypothesis and then prove your hypothesis to be true or not true. If the hypothesis is repressed memories don’t exist, you would have to prove it. You can’t say repressed memories don’t exist without scientifically proving it first. It hasn’t been scientifically proven that repressed memories don’t exist. Repressed memories can exist until it is proven. You could also make a hypothesis that repressed memories do exist. The hypothesis could be proven to be true. It can be proven that repressed memories exist. With scientific experiment the hypothesis that repressed memories exist can be proven to be true.

Self-love is okay.

My Mom had a poster in her classroom that said,

“Tell me, I forget

Show me, I remember

Involve me, I understand.”

She used mind styles and learning styles in her classroom. They help you learn. They have auditory, visual, verbal, and kinesthetic learning styles. Mind styles have concrete sequential, abstract sequential, abstract random, and concrete random styles for how you learn. This says whether you are a physically involved person, if you like to do one thing after another, if you like to do it out of order, or if you like to think about what you are doing. Left brain learners might be auditory or visual learners. Right brain learners might be kinesthetic learners. I found what worked best for me was when it was written down on the board, spoken, and I wrote it down in my notes. In school it should be written down on the board, spoken, and you should write it down in your notes to learn well. My Mom said magazines were reading material just like books and textbooks. She said correct English should be used in the classroom and slang should be used outside of the classroom. Correct English should be used at work too, and slang should be used outside of work.
